Porcelain veneers can be used to make color changes in teeth that are permanently discolored or stained. Teeth which are just naturally discolored, such as teeth with tetracycline or fluorosis staining, or else those teeth which have become darkened as a result of trauma or root canal treatment can often be good candidates for porcelain veneers.
